Marinepool extends as Extreme Sailing clothing partner

 Marinepool has extended its official clothing partnership with the Extreme Sailing Series until 2016.

 

The deal will see the sailing apparel brand continue to provide clothing to the inshore sailing series and go on developing a line of official merchandise. Marinepool first became a sponsor of the competition in 2011.

The news was confirmed at the Dusseldorf Boat Show as the Extreme Sailing Series announced that eight teams would take part in the 2013 edition, including a new Swiss entry to be unveiled on 8th February. The 2013 seies will open at The Wave, Muscat on 5th March.

Robert Stark, the Marinepool chief executive, said: “Marinepool is a proud partner of the Extreme Sailing Series and we are happy to announce that we have just renewed our contract until 2016. This underlines our belief in OC Sport’s excellent work and that the Extreme Sailing Series is the best series in the world.

“It has the global reach we are looking for,” he added, “with venues in iconic cities from Muscat to Rio. The VIP experience is second to none. And it has a viable business model that also works for Marinepool on all levels.”

Marinepool is also the official clothing partner of Oman Sail, which provided the winning entry in the 2012 Extreme Sailing Serie.
