Eurosaf match racing is on going

EUROSAF Match Racing, European Open Championship are now well underway and the competition commences on 17th August, following the Open Ceremony on Tuesday 16th August.  The organising authority is the Aaland Yacht Club, based in Mariehamn on the Aaland Islands, in the Baltic Sea; a club with a hugh reputation in the match racing world.  Competition continues until Saturday 20th August when the finals will be held and the European Open Match Racing Champion crowned.
We sailed 13 flights and together 39 matches in a gentle breeze between 3 m/s to 6 m/s and no clods. Great sailing conditions during the whole day.

-Busy day. Managed to get 13 flights through.
-Too many penalties and collisions, aggressive fleet.
– Nice sailing, long day on the water.
– Good sailors and high class sailing
– Some really nice manoeuvres in the pre-start that thrilled the spectators.
– Very good day for the spectators, superb view from the gallery.
– Good sailing conditions, good breeze. Pretty tight matches.
