America’s Cup adds three more sponsors

Three more sponsors have signed up with the America’s Cup Event Authority (ACEA), organisers of the 34th America’s Cup. Starwood Hotels & Resorts, The Napa Valley Vintners and The Napa Valley Destination Council and Althelia Ecosphere join PricewaterhouseCoopers, which announced its deal with ACEA last week. The new raft of partners join Louis Vuitton and official suppliers Hanson Bridgett, YouTube, Garmin, Puma and Sailors for the Sea for the Cup regatta, as well as the new-format America’s Cup World Series.

Craig Thompson, chief executive of America’s Cup Event Authority, said: “The new-look America’s Cup is about transforming the sport of sailing and the way people experience it, so we want partners who not only understand our long-term vision, but have an approach that is similar to ours, focused on forward-thinking innovation, leading-edge technology and embedded sustainability practices.”
