Althelia Ecosphere has been named the Official Supplier for the 34th America’s Cup in the Ecosystem Goods and Services Management category. The America’s Cup Event Authority (ACEA) and Althelia Ecosphere will work closely together over the next two years to develop and implement ACEA’s Carbon and Ecosystem Services management program. The program will supplement efforts taken by ACEA to reduce the carbon footprint of event activities associated with the 34th America’s Cup.
Avant-garde Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer has partnered with ORACLE Racing as the Official Watch and Eyewear of the America’s Cup champion team. TAG Heuer’s technologically advanced eyewear – especially the new sporty RACER line – will shield team members’ eyes from ultra-violet rays and salt spray.
To celebrate the partnership, TAG Heuer will develop a special timepiece with countdown function to be tested during the America’s Cup World Series Regattas leading up to the 34th America’s Cup.
