Euronav Limited has been appointed as the official navigation and charting systems supplier for the 2013/14 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
This year’s edition of the race will be the sixth Euronav has supported. As part of its commitment to the race the company will provide its SeaPro navigation and charting system to each of the 12 yachts taking part.
Sir Robin Knox-Johnston (pictured), the chairman and founder of the Clipper Race, said in a statement: “I’m very pleased to announce that for the sixth consecutive Clipper Race SeaPro will be guiding the fleet safely around the globe.
“Every entry in the Clipper 13-14 Race will be doing all they can to claim the first podium position on the new Clipper 70, and I feel very reassured that SeaPro will be there to guide them on their way.”
Euronav’s managing director Dr Brian Morris added: “The team at Euronav are very proud to be supporting the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race for the eleventh consecutive year.
“The crew competing in the Clipper 13-14 Race will take on some of the most demanding oceans in the world and SeaPro navigation software will be there to show them the way.”
