Beneteau has officially opened its new facility in Brazil in the city of Angra dos Reis. According to Beneteau the plant has an initial production capacity of more than 50 boats over 34ft per year, and will eventually create around 600 direct jobs in the city. More than R$15m has been invested in the plant that occupies 10,000m2.The facility will be vital in helping Beneteau crack the both the domestic and Latin American markets.”The city gives tax incentives to those enterprises that can bring jobs to the county,” said mayor Jordan. “The Beneteau Group can count on our support.”Governor Sergio Cabral said: “We implemented a policy to attract the producers of the segment and now, a year later, we are reaping the rewards… I’m sure it will bring thousands of jobs to the industry here in Angra dos Reis .
