The Newport Exhibition Group announces the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County as Charitable Partner

The Newport Exhibition Group, a division of Newport Harbor Corporation, has chosen the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County as the official charitable partner of the 32nd Newport Charter Yacht Show. The event, scheduled for June 23-26 at Newport Yachting Center, is one of only six charter-focused shows in the world and explores the many avenues of luxury chartering in New England.

Our organization is proud to have been selected as the official charitable partner of the Newport Charter Yacht Show,” said the non-profit’s Executive Director/CEO Joseph P. Pratt, adding that the non-profit is also partnering with the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography’s Inner Space Center this fall. “The Marine Industry is critical to the future of our community and partnerships like these give our youth access and exposure to careers in the Marine Field as well as opportunities to improve their learning in a fun environment. We are appreciative of the opportunity that this show is providing us and look forward to sharing information on our mission.

The Boys & Girls Club of Newport County’s mission is to inspire and enable young people (ages 5-18) to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Over the last 50 years the non-profit has brought quality programs to children and youth in Rhode Island. Currently, it provides mentoring, academic programming, athletic activities and warm meals to its 1,800 members. The non-profit will have an exhibit in the Newport Charter Yacht Show’s hospitality tent throughout the week and will be promoting its fundraising event, the Newport Yacht Rendezvous, scheduled for August 14th at the Newport Shipyard.
